Dam to Dam Half Marathon - Des Moines, IA. I am going to call this my new favorite race! 1. Very low registration fee. 2. Free (all ya want) beer, pizza, subs, etc. at packet pickup. 3. Point to point scenic course. 4. Almost all flat with a couple rollers to keep it interesting. 5. Ten water stops. 6. Friendly volunteers/great support the entire way. 7. Iowa's biggest half marathon with 8,000+ runners. 8. Perfect weather this time of year. 9. Decent finisher's medal. 10. Free (all ya want) beer and chocolate milk post race. I will be back next year!!
